Gemma Hayes: In this month's Éist podcast, we chat with Irish singer-songwriter Gemma Hayes. Gemma Hayes is a multi-award winner and among Ireland’s leading musicians. She released her debut album, ‘Night On My Side’ , in 2002. The album resulted in Gemma winning Best Female Singer at the Irish Music Awards in Dublin and she went on to be nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. Gemma then headed for the sunshine of Los Angeles to record her follow up, ‘The Roads Don't Love You’, released  in 2005, which once again led to her winning best Irish Female Singer at the Irish Music Awards. Her 3rd album, ‘The Hollow of Morning’, was released in May 2008, and in 2009 Gemma released a new EP, titled ‘Oliver’. Featured tracks are 'Nothing Can', 'Chasing Dragons', 'Oliver' and 'November'.
